Firefox for Windows
ThomsonNOW supports Firefox for Windows version 1.0–1.5. The following settings will help you get the best performance from ThomsonNOW. If you have problems with ThomsonNOW later on, begin your troubleshooting by reconfirming these settings.
For use with ThomsonNOW, Firefox must be configured to allow cookies and pop-ups.

Allowing Pop-ups in Firefox for Windows
ThomsonNOW uses pop-up windows to display error messages and Help. Here's how to enable them in Firefox for Windows.
The following instruction are for Version 1.5. The exact steps for different versions of Firefox will vary slightly.
To allow pop-ups in Firefox for Windows
To allow pop-ups in Firefox for ThomsonNOW only
- Select Tools > Options
- Select the Content tab.
- Make sure the Block Popup Windows option is selected, and click Allowed Sites.
- Type or paste the URL for ThomsonNOW (or type *.ilrn.com) into the field labeled "Address of web site:"
- Click Allow. The ThomsonNOW URL is added to the list of allowed sites.
- Click Close, then click Okay.
Note: There are many third-party pop-up blockers (Google, Yahoo!, etc.) available for Internet browsers. If you are using any of these, consult their directions for instructions on allowing pop-ups.
Clearing the Cache and Cookies in Firefox for Windows
If you ever start seeing errors in ThomsonNOW, a good first troubleshooting step is to clear your Firefox browser cache and cookies. You will need to reselect your school the next time you sign in.

Enabling Javascript in Firefox for Windows
ThomsonNOW requires Javascript for many of its functions. If you get a Javascript failure in the System Check, you may need to update your browser software. However, it may be that you simply need to enable Javascript in your browser before starting ThomsonNOW.
