Viewing Discussions

To view posts for a particular course, select a course name from the drop-down menu and click the Go to Discussions link on the Communications Tools pane. This will take you to the Course Discussions page.

Once you are on the Course Discussions page you can arrange the order of the display table by the column headings: Topic, Subject, Replies, Submitted by, and Last Modified. Click a topic title to go to details page, where you can also start a new topic. Click on a discussion title to post a reply to a topic thread.

Any comments you made previously can either be edited or deleted.

To create a discussion topic
  1. Click the See Discussions link in the Actions column for a topic.
  2. Click the Start a New Topic button.
  3. Enter a subject for the topic, and then click the Submit link.
To create a discussion message
  1. Click the See Discussions link in the Actions column for a topic.
  2. Click the discussion Subject to which you want to add a message.
  3. Click Add a New Message.
  4. Enter the text for your message.
  5. (Optional) To attach a file to your message (for example, a jpg image or a PDF document), click the + button next to Attach, then Browse to the file on your computer, select it, and click Open.

  6. Note: Repeat the process to attach additional files.

  7. Click the Submit link.
  8. Once you post a message, you can edit it, delete it, or reply to it.
